Insurance

The cost of routine eye exams and prescription eyewear can be of real concern, especially for large families. In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses.

A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance. Regular health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease. Vision insurance, on the other hand, is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost.

Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, we accept a number of insurance plans to help cover the cost depending on your individual needs. Here are just some of the plans that we accept:

 COVID-19 (Corona Virus Update)

Following the Governor Gavin Newsom's order to prevent the spread of germs and viruses we are closing for routine eye exams for the safety of staff and patients until April 3rd (this is subject to change depending on the state of virus infection). We will continue to see emergency patients, or patients with lost glasses who cannot function without glasses.

While the doors are locked, we will be open for glasses or contact lens dispensing. Please call us at (559)875-5524 if you are in front of the door. If you don't have a cell phone, please knock on the door. We will bring your contact lenses or glasses out to you.

If you have eye conditions that you are concerned about, please call the office, and Dr. Sorsky will speak to you. We are still seeing emergency cases on a limited basis.
